100,000 For Wally!
On first glance, it simply looks like another great action shot from Wrestlin' Wally...Jetta smashing a hard shoulder block into the midsection of G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Jessie McKay. But it's a little more than that. It marks a milestone for Wally because this is also the 100,000th picture that he's uploaded to his Wrestlin' Wally's Wide World of Women's Wrestling website! That's right. We didn't add an extra digit by mistake: we said one-hundred thousand!
Wally may be based in the Mid-Atlantic region, but he's traveled all over the Midwest, Northeast and (we're pretty sure) even south to Florida to capture the action for women's wrestling fans the world over. He's even gone international, capturing shots from events north of the border in Canada. In many instances, if Wally had not been there with his trusty digital camera and multi-gig memory cards in tow, we simply wouldn't have a record of these fantastic ladies in action. But for Wally, only those in attendance would know what happened at the sound of the bell.
And folks, as far as we know (and we're pretty sure about this), Wally doesn't get paid for what he does. If he does get a small stipend here and there a times, it certainly isn't enough to cover the gas, travel and lodging expenses he racks up. Wally does it because he simply enjoys it...and we all get to benefit from his efforts.
We don't say it enough, Wally, but THANK-YOU for all you do to bring us the best in women's wrestling...and G.L.O.R.Y. Girl action in particular!
