West Coast vs. East Coast!
In yesterday's POD we saw G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Valentina (a.k.a. Lizzy Valentine) during her recent East Coast appearance in Moriches, New York, as she managed Danny Damanto for FTW. But later on in the evening Valentina took to the ring herself to battle fellow G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Angel "Riptide" Orsini. G.L.O.R.Y. fan Ed Darcey was there with his camera and files this match report...
Lizzy Valentine, recently from California, but originally a G.L.O.R.Y. gal from New Jersey (better known to East Coast fans as Valentina...a young veteran who wrestled Sara Stock, Alexis Laree and April Hunter early in her career) made her return to the New York area and requested a match for the WSU Women's Title. Angel Orsini, never one to pass up a challenge, was happy to oblige her.
Having earlier in the evening managed Danny Damanto to a victory over Bandito Jr., Miss Valentine was raring to go and wrest the belt from Orsini. Claiming the belt meant little to her, Angel proceeded to prove otherwise when she declared that her winning streak over her recent challengers meant everything. While Lizzy had Orsini in any number of precarious predicaments, in the end the crafty veteran was able to drive the blonde grappler face first into the mat, stunning Ms. Valentine and getting the three count.
However, Ms. Valentine has even more ambitious plans, as she is relocating to Mexico where she plans on proving to the Luchadoras that Sara Stock/Dark Angel is not the only North American gal that can prove her mettle south of the border. Having seen Ms. Valentine first hand, I expect both the Dark Angel and the Mexican Women Wrestlers had best watch out.
