Riptide's Revenge

G.L.O.R.Y. fan Ed Darcey takes over today's POD with his action photos and description of this past weekend's NWA match between Angel "Riptide" Orsini and Lacey Von Erich...

Lacey Von Erich returned to New Jersey this past weekend to face the same opponent she had defeated, some would say surprisingly, at a recent WSU event: the more experienced Angel "Riptide" Orsini.

This time the veteran Orsini did not take the third generation wrestler as lightly as she may have the first time they met. She attacked her ruthlessly before the bell, pinning her in the corner and driving her shoulder into the blonde battler's midsection numerous times.

After tossing Lacey around the ring, often by her hair, Angel proceeded to work over her back and neck. Finally, the Texas blonde was able to trap Orsini in the corner, mount the ropes and rain fists down on the stunned grappler. However, wily veteran that she is, Angel grabbed Lacey's legs and sent her crashing to the mat...stunning Von Erich. Orsini used the opportunity (as well as the ropes) to pin the less experienced Von Erich, who was none too pleased with the outcome.

One doubts we've heard the last of these two battling for supremacy. There is word they may meet again at the WEW show in June. Let's hope so!!!
