Saludos para todos. Mi nombre es Roberto Acosta y mi nick es El Solitario.
Por qué?... En memoria de un extraordinario luchador ya fallecido: Roberto González Cruz "El Solitario", el cual fue mi ídolo de la infancia ya que desde los 7-8 años me encontré con el mundo de la lucha libre.
Pocos años más tarde, gracias al Internet fui metiéndome en el ambiente, primero tomando fotos... más tarde haciendo crónicas (reseñas) y posteriormente a algunas personas les agrado el material hecho. Por ello no es raro ver algunos de mis trabajos en:
Zona Wrestling (Puerto Rico); GLORY Wrestling, Luchadoras.Net (Estados Unidos); Joker Magazzine, Piraña Web, El Halcón.Net, Página Web de la Arena Solidaridad y en muchos foros sobre la lucha libre (México); así como muchas fotografías rondando en la Internet.
Se puede decir que la lucha libre es ya parte de mi vida, a la cual de una u otra forma he dedicado miles de horas apreciando este rudo deporte. Uso una cámara Cyber-Shot y una Kodak y anhelo conseguir una Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 8.0 Mp (Por si alguien se ofrece a regalármela el 5 de Octubre que es mi cumpleaños)
Trato de estar siempre en el momento de la acción, los movimientos finales de la lucha así como buscando el mejor ángulo para las poses de los luchadoras y luchadores. Mi sueño es cubrir en las arenas de la capital mexicana, como la Arena México, el Toreo de 4 Caminos, la Arena Naucalpan. Ya he visitado Reynosa, Río Bravo (Tamaulipas) y Torreón (Coahuila).
Gente que le ha agradado mi trabajo: Lufisto, Nikki Roxx, Ariel, Dark Angel, Hijo del Santo, Antifaz del Norte, entre otros. Uno de los sueños que he podido cumplir es entrevistar al hijo de mi ídolo "El Hijo del Solitario"... pero faltan aún muchas cosas por desarrollar.
Para octubre de 2005, la revista Guerreros del Ring en México me abrió sus puertas y actualmente soy colaborador en Monterrey.
A mis 40 años cumplidos, creo que aún hay mucho "Solitario" por delante, claro, si Dios quiere. Mientras tanto, los dejo con mi frase favorita:

Greetings to all. My name is Robert Acosta and my nickname is "El Solitario" (The Solitaire).
Why? In memory of an extraordinary fighter who has passed away: Robert González Cruz..."The Solitaire"...who was my childhood idol since the age of seven when I became interested in wrestling.
For the last few years, thanks to the Internet, I have become involved in recording wrestling shows. First by taking photos...and later by writing reviews and interviewing the wrestlers. You may see some of my work on various wrestling Web sites and magazines such as: Wrestling Zone (Puerto Rico); G.L.O.R.Y. Wrestling; Luchadoras.Net (The United States); Joker Magazine; Piraña Web; the Halcón.Net; the Arena Solidad Web Site and many other wrestling forums around the Internet. You can see that I have dedicated thousands of hours to this great sport!
I use a Cyber-Shot camera and a Kodak, but I am yearning to obtain a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XT 8.0 megapixel. (My birthday is October 5th if you want to send me one as a present!)
I try to take the best action shots of the wrestlers while they are in the ring (including the final pin), as well as posed pictures of the wrestlers before and after their matches. My dream is to cover the arenas in the Mexican capital, such as la Arena México, el Toreo de 4 Caminos and la Arena Naucalpan. I have already visited Reynosa, Río Bravo (Tamaulipas) and Torreón (Coahuila).
Wrestlers who I have been honored to work with include LuFisto, Nikki Roxx, Ariel, Dark Angel, Son of Santo and Mask of the North, among others. One of the dreams that I have been able to fulfill is to interview the son of my idol "The Son of the Solitaire"! But there are still many things I would like to do.
In October of 2005, the magazine "Soldiers of the Ring in Mexico" opened its doors to me. And now, I am collaborating in Monterrey with LLF.
Even after 40 years, I believe that there is still much ahead for "El Solitario", God willing. Meanwhile, I leave you with my favorite phrase:
