PGWA Title Match

Shiai Mata is back again today with a description of April's PGWA title match between Nemesis and Tracy Taylor. Take it away, Shiai...

For a full year, Nemesis had been gearing herself toward one goal: to beat Tracy Taylor for the gold! She studied video of Taylor in action to discern the Hawaiian's strengths and weaknesses...she took matches with women who had similar styles to that of Tracy, so as to better acquaint herself with such techniques...and she spent countless hours in the gym, shedding muscle mass so as to increase her speed and agility. By the time April the 16th rolled around in Nashville, the Ohio native had sculpted herself body and mind into a fighting machine designed solely to defeat the Island Girl!

But this would not only be a match for the PGWA title belt, for Tracy was also the WXCW Champ, and she consented to put that strap of leather and gold on the line this night as well!

From the opening moments, it would prove to be an epic match, as the two women traded holds and blows, the advantage seesawing between them. Nemesis began to score huge points by taking the fight out of the ring and turning it into a brawl, but Taylor closed that chasm by ably proving that she could roughhouse with the best of them, too!

The two women had hammered each other to the edge of utter collapse, but it appeared as if Tracy was at last taking the upper hand. It was then that she made the rookie's mistake of allowing herself to be distracted by Nemesis's manager, Gordon Dunaway. That gave the challenger the chance she needed to fill a fist with a foreign object, jack Tracy in the jaw, and then leisurely cover the semi-conscious Hawaiian for the 1-2-3! The ref handed the new Champ both belts, and history was made in two organizations in the span of heartbeats.

But Nemesis wasn't finished yet...! Egged on by her manager, she proceeded to stomp, punch and choke the helpless Taylor, until several other wrestlers from the locker room rushed out to save the Island Girl.

Thus far, in spite of the dubious manner in which she acquired them, Nemesis has managed to retain both the PGWA and WXCW belts, although some tremendous challenges are rumored to be on her horizon in the weeks and months ahead.
