Knockout Pain And Suffering
Today we bring you some video captures of the action from TNA's New Year's Knockout Eve special on Spike. The ladies in these matches showed lots of intensity, lots of fight...and lots of cheating, too!
First up, Hamada and Madison Rayne (a.k.a. G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Lexi Lane). Rayne took lots of abuse to both arms in this match [above and Picture #2]. And when she wasn't having her arms twisted and wrenched at odd angles, she was getting kicked in the head by the boots of her Japanese opponent! It was Hamada who came away with the victory in this one.
The second match saw ODB and Traci Brooks battling it out. This was more of a brawl than a wrestling match, with Traciy spending a lot of the match howling in pain from ODB's non-stop attack on her injured right arm [ #3 and #4]. But before the match was over, ODB was also feeling some of the pain herself [ #5]. At the sound of the bell, it was ODB who came away with the win.
The third match of the night found Roxxi (a.k.a. G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Nikki Roxx) taking on Velvet Sky (a.k.a. G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Talia). This match showed just how vicious Velvet could be. She immediately went on a choking spree to try to take Roxxi out...first using a boot to the windpipe against the corner post [ #6], then following up with two hands to the throat down on the mat [ #7]. Even when Sky used a technical move, such as this standing stretch [ #8], she decided that she could do even more damage by sinking her teeth into the soft skin of her victim's forearm [ #9]. But all that cheating and nasty rule breaking did Velvet no good...it was Roxxi's arm which was raised in victory at the conclusion of the match [ #10].
