WXW Elite 8 (2009)
SLAMminLadies.com was on hand in Minneola, Florida, last weekend to witness WXW's Elite 8 tournament for 2009. And what a tournament it was! The event had veterans, newcomers out to make a name for themselves and plenty of upsets. We're turning over G.L.O.R.Y.'s Picture Of The Day to our friends at SLAMminLadies this weekend. Up first was Lorelei Lee vs Lace. Lace is a rookie with a bad attitude. Lorelei seemed to have the upper hand during most of this match but a quick slide behind out of a suplex and a stunner gave Lace the win. She proceeded to toss the still woozy cowgirl from the ring after the bell. [Above & Picture #2]
The second match of the tournament pitted The Radiant Rain vs. Sarona Snuka. Take a look at newcomer Sarona and tell us she doesn't look like her daddy! This was a back and forth battle between these two, but Sarona's warrior spirit got her the three count. [ #3 & #4]
Next up: Betsy Ruth vs. Josie. Betsy Ruth is making a name for herself at WXW, but that doesn't mean she's a fan favorite! Josie had the crowd behind her but in the end Betsy's power advantage gave her the win after a big Vadar splash. [ #5, #6 & #7]
