The Ascendancy Of Rain
G.L.O.R.Y. fan Ed Darcey takes over the POD duties today with some pictures and a report on the impact G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Rain has had on the WSU title situation...
The "Radiant One", Rain, on the most recent WSU double show, sought to cement her position as the heir apparent to the WSU World Women's Championship which is currently held by the Latina Sensation, Mercedes Martinez.
To do this she first had to defeat the former titleholder, fellow G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Angel Orsini (a.k.a. Riptide). Having had an acrimonious falling out at the previous WSU show, the two veterans were at each other's throat before the evening's event had even commenced. Separated, the two would return as the penultimate match on the first taping.
In a most violent encounter, Rain and Angel spent a large part of the bout on the outside of the ring, taking turns smashing one another into the ringsides seats and tables. At one point Rain was choking Orsini in the bleacher seats. Not to be outdone, Angel pounded on her opponent while Rain sat dazed in a ringside seat.
In the end, having choked Angel unmercifully, Rain DDT'ed Orsini on a chair in the ring and got the pinfall. Assuming she was now the undisputed #1 contender, the brunette was in for a surprise. Her night was not over. See what happens tomorrow.
