Betties Brawl...Against Each Other!
Yesterday we showed you the early part of last month's NEW Women's Title match that pitted G.L.O.R.Y. Girls Roxie Cotton and Annie Social
When she realized that technical maneuvers alone might not win her the match, Social went for one of Cotton's weak spots: those cute pigtails that are always within such easy reach. After pulling Roxie up by the hair, Annie used the convenient handle to run the blonde across the ring before smashing her face-first into the top turnbuckle (below). She quickly followed up with a corner choke that had Roxie struggling to breathe. Look at how viciously Annie attacks...putting her entire body into that choke!
With Roxie sufficiently weakened from the strangling, Annie had a little fun at the expense of her "friend" as she snapped her down to the mat and once again grabbed at those hard-to-ignore pigtails. Social almost seems to be smiling as she hears Roxie screaming in pain. You know, the blonde has been in this position so many times before...we can't help but wonder why Cotton insists on wearing her hair in pigtails in the ring!
When Roxie was finally able to get a break from Annie's attack, she decided to do some brawling of her own. The match turned into a slugfest as the two ladies when toe-to-toe, throwing forearm blows into each other's heads. Slowly, Roxie gained the advantage as her shots snapped the brunette's head back and forth, eventually backing the dazed Annie into the corner where the ropes helped to keep her standing.
A big face plant from Roxie took most of the fight out of Ms. Social. It wasn't long after when Annie was looking up at the arena lights while Cotton covered her for the pin and win. At the end of this "Betty vs. Betty match", it was Roxie Cotton who walked away as the first-ever NEW Women's Champion!
