Battered Princess!
Last month's SHIMMER event in Berwyn, Illinois, was somewhat of a mixed blessing for G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Ariel...also know as "The Portuguese Princess" to SHIMFANS.
The long-time G.L.O.R.Y. Girl took plenty of abuse in her four-way bout against Cheerleader Melissa, Mercedes Martinez and Amazing Kong. After some early success, such as the tough clothesline to Martinez that you see above, Ariel's fortunes quickly went downhill. Her attack of Amazing Kong backfired: after jumping on the back of the monstrous grappler (below), Ariel was squashed between that big body and the turnbuckles as she was backed into the corner. Stunned and out of breath, Ariel couldn't do much to protect herself as Kong pounded away with those gloved fists. Then it was the cheerleader's turn. Melissa held nothing back as she violently stomped away at the downed princess. Amazingly, Ariel was soon able to compose herself and she headed to the top corner ropes for some high-flying...but her plan was short circuited by Martinez as she knocked Ariel off-balance, forcing the brunette to drop painfully onto the top turnbuckle. Some well-delivered fists to the body caused further damage to the battered beauty. All in all, it was a painful match for the East Coast G.L.O.R.Y. Girl.
