Cindy Survives Amazing Kong...Barely!

What was Cindy Rogers thinking when she agreed to face Amazing Kong at WSU's last event in Boonton, New Jersey? Yes, we know that Ms. Rogers is considered the "Definition Of Technician"...but that only goes so far when you're asked to battle the TNA Champion who, coincidentally, is two or three times your size! Still, Cindy Rogers stepped into the ring. But she was barely able to make it out in one piece.

Cindy's technical proficiency couldn't overcome the raw power and aggressiveness of Kong. Ms. Rogers was camel clutched to the breaking point...absorbed chops that nearly broke her in half...was nearly slammed through the ring mat...and almost had her windpipe crushed under the big boot of the brutal Kong. In the end, it was Rogers taking the loss as she was left in a heap in the center of the ring. But while she lost officially, it could be argued that Cindy came away with a moral victory. After all, she did survive!

Unfortunately, after successfully getting through a match against Kong without sustaining any permanent or serious injury, we hear that Cindy will be out of action for several months...and it has nothing to do with wrestling. Turns out that when the incredibly athletic Ms. Rogers is not grappling, she likes to compete on the softball diamond. Cindy fell awkwardly while playing the outfield during a recent game. Ironically, the lady who absorbs and administers some of the toughest and most body-wrecking moves in wrestling sustained a broken collarbone from her outfield mishap.

We want to send our best wishes to Cindy for a speedy recovery from her injury. We're sure that G.L.O.R.Y. fans everywhere are anxiously looking forward to a quick return to the ring for Cindy Rogers.
