Nikki Roxx Invades Mexico's LLF!
G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Nikki Roxx recently traveled to Monterrey, Mexico to compete against some of the toughest ladies in the rough and rowdy world of Lucha Libre Femenil. Top US ladies are often invited to cross the Rio Grande by LLF officials to test their skills in the wild competition that is Mexican women's wrestling: a mix of tough technical grappling, brutal brawling and outright vicious attacking of an opponent's body.
But as you can see from the newspaper article above, the US ladies who do wrestle in Mexico are considered major celebrities. Newspaper reports, magazine articles, radio and television interviews...all are par for the course for the American and Canadian women who make the trek to the LLF arena. Many of the G.L.O.R.Y. Girls who have competed for LLF are treated like rock stars by their adoring Mexican fan base!
It's Not Easy...
As you can see from this shot taken during one of Nikki's matches against Mexican veteran Poly Star...the competition at LLF is fierce. The G.L.O.R.Y. Girl/TNA star not only has to contend with being choked over the ring rope, she also has to deal with her opponent ripping at her mouth and gouging into her eye. And something tells us that the violent Star is not giving up on this attack anytime soon!
No Relief Outside The Ring!
In the LLF, there is no relief once the bell sounds. The action is fast and furious. Brutal. Relentless.
If Nikki thought she would get a chance to recover outside the ring, she was sorely mistaken. In fact, outside the ring is where some of the most violent attacks take place in LLF wrestling. Nikki is finding that out now as she pitches forward and heads to the arena floor after being bashed in the back by a Poly Star chair shot to the back.
Taking On The Men
Mixed matches are not the norm in LLF, but Nikki certainly is not one to back down from a challenge in the ring...whether it be from a woman or a man! In this match, Roxx hammers her male opponent over the head with a steel chair as she competes hardcore style. And just in case you were wondering...yes, that is barbed wire wrapped around the LLF ring ropes!
