Jennifer Blake vs. Danyah: Canadian G.L.O.R.Y. Girls At War!

Two G.L.O.R.Y. Girls clashed Saturday night in Hamilton, Ontario at Living Legends Wrestling (LLW) "Ascension". Miss Danyah recently returned to full action after a lengthy injury rehab and was dismayed by two things: LLW had not hosted a women's match in months and "Girl Dynamite" Jennifer Blake had soared up the Ontario rankings during her absence. Danyah petitioned LLW to give her Jennifer Blake in a Submission Match so she could solve both problems at once. LLW granted her request and on April 19th, Miss Danyah faced Jennifer Blake in a no DQs, no count-outs, no time limit, pinfalls don't count, submissions only match! It didn't take long before Danyah was thinking that challenging "Girl Dynamite" to what was basically a no-holds-barred match wasn't such a good idea...

Blake stormed the ring and blasted Danyah with a roaring elbow to the jaw and a stiff knee strike to the gut. Danyah ducked a spinning heel kick and bailed out to the floor, but Jennifer kept on the attack as she launched herself through the ropes with a suicide dive that sent both ladies crashing to the concrete!

Danyah found no relief from the attack as Blake smashed her head hard into the ring apron...that is, until Danyah fought back with hard chops that echoed throughout the arena. Danyah scooped up the stunned Blake and ran her back first into the ring post before she tossed her into the ring for further punishment.

Danyah punished Blake in a camel clutch but Jennifer refused to submit. When Danyah released the hold to try another, Blake sprang into action with a series of short elbows followed by a running double knee strike to the chest in the corner. The maneuver rocked Danyah and set her up for...

...a stinging neckbreaker that set her up to be stretched out on the mat and caught in a bridged chinlock. Danyah was just barely able to keep the hold from becoming a full-on choke. Painfully...slowly...Danyah dragged herself to the ropes to break the excruciating hold.

When Blake released the hold, Danyah surprised her with a quick punch and took solid control by stomping Jennifer on the mat. Danyah grew cocky as Jennifer writhed in pain on the canvas. She taunted fans and struck a triumphant pose. Blake struggled to her feet but was quickly snap-mared back to the mat and subjected to a blistering kick to the back from "The Sin City Vixen". Danyah rolled Jennifer onto her stomach and applied a reverse Boston crab. The hold put Blake in a world of hurt, but Danyah wasn't finished. She grabbed Jennifer's arms and hoisted her off the mat as she bent her backwards in a painful arch. And still Danyah wasn't satisfied that Blake was suffering enough! She walked toward the corner with Blake still suspended in the excruciating hold and began swinging her like a pendulum...smashing Jennifer's head repeatedly into the bottom turnbuckle!

Frustrated that Blake still wouldn't submit and tired from the effort of applying the lengthy pendulum hold, Danyah elected to go for a basic chinlock to give herself a chance to rest and think of her next move. That momentary lapse gave Jennifer the opportunity to break free and with the cheers of the crowd spurring her on, "Girl Dynamite" exploded into action. She ducked a clothesline and flipped Danyah to the mat with a lightning quick tilt-a-whirl headscissor takedown. When Danyah regained her feet, Blake rocked her with a Yakuza kick straight to the head and then sent her crashing to the mat with a superkick to the chin! Jennifer dragged Danyah up and tried a modified tarantula over the ropes but couldn't lock the hold on completely. A vicious armbar driver to the mat and an ankle lock had Danyah screaming in agony but she refused to give up. She kicked Jennifer off the ankle and tripped her to the mat where she quickly applied an STF.
Blake was trapped squarely in the middle of the ring in Danyah's STF. She raised two fingers to show fans and the official that she would never surrender...then escaped the hold by biting Danyah's fingers!

Danyah lept to her feet screaming "She BIT me!"...giving Blake the opportunity to dropkick her chest-first into the turnbuckles. As Danyah staggered backwards, Jennifer met her with a devastating lung blower then quickly wrapped her in a body scissors on the mat and locked on a rear naked choke! There was no escape. Danyah was held immobile on the mat and, rapidly losing consciousness, she finally signalled to the referee that she had endured enough!
Jennifer Blake was declared the winner, but Danyah could take a little solace from the fact that one of her issues had been addressed: LLW had hosted a women's match. As to stopping "Girl Dynamite's" rise up the ranks...it looks like Danyah still has some work to do. One thing's for sure: this feud between Canadian G.L.O.R.Y. Girls is far from over!
