Joe Rules Chats With Luscious Latasha

October 22, 2004: Joe Rules chats with New England G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Luscious Latasha about her young managing and wrestling career, her ongoing feuds, stepping into the steel cage against Trinity H. Campbell and more...

G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Luscious Latasha!

JOE RULES: It's a pleasure to talk with you, Luscious Latasha.

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: It's an honor being interviewed by you.

JOE RULES: Well, thank you ... At only 5'0" tall, you often enter your matches as the underdog, especially when your opponent is someone like Trinity H. Campbell. In fact, in your G.L.O.R.Y. Profile, you listed a handicap match of you and Lizzie Dream vs. Trinity H. Campbell as your worst loss. Tell us about that match.

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Well, that was my second match, and me and Lizzie had faced Trinity H. Campbell before, and she had beaten us both the first time. So by the second time we stepped into the ring, Lizzie and I talked about what we could possibly do to THC. So we had a game plan in store for her, but we were taken by surprise.

JOE RULES: I understand you actually had a chance to take on Trinity H. Campbell in a steel cage match a few months back for the vacant SCCW Women's Title. Cage matches are a rarity in women's wrestling. How did you feel about stepping into the cage with your opponent?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Seeing that it was my first cage match, I was pretty nervous about it. But then I thought about it and realized that I have beaten THC before and also that I'm pretty quick with my moves, so if I was able to get her down, I could basically climb the cage so fast, before she could get up. But since she's a member of G.O.D., that plan didn't work the way I thought it would, because Verge came out right as I was getting ready to jump down from the cage. He came underneath me, and put me on his shoulders so I couldn't go anywhere. THC took advantage of that and escaped and won the SCCW Women's Title.

JOE RULES: That was very clever!

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Actually, I'd really have to say that was my worst loss. I need to e-mail JTW and ask him to update my profile...

JOE RULES: I see. Have you had a chance to wrestle for the title since then?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Yes, I have. I faced Lexus in Wesport for the title--Didn't win that one, as you can see!

JOE RULES: Well, I certainly wish you well in your pursuit of the title.

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Thanks. I'm hoping to have the title soon enough!

JOE RULES: Who are some other opponents you've worked with? I understand you wrestled Sienna Blaze not too long ago...

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: My other opponents have been--like you said--Sienna Blaze, Heidi Payne, and also my ex-tag partner Lizzie Dream. I had a feud going on with THC, but that has now ended.

Luscious is certainly an apt nickname for pretty Latasha.

JOE RULES: In addition to wrestling, you've also done some managing. One wrestler you managed is Jonah from Tough Enough 3. Did you enjoy working with each other?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Yes, I had a wonderful time managing Jonah. He is such an awesome guy and really nice! It was a pleasure working with him. If I could, I would manage him again in the future!

JOE RULES: Who else have you managed?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: First wrestler I ever managed was Stevie Sky (R.I.P.), Fantastic Frank, Vain, and Duke Maximum.

JOE RULES: Are you more interested in managing or wrestling or both?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Well, I have done both and enjoy them very much. At times I like to manage; then I want to wrestle. I want more ring time before I devote myself to strictly wrestling. I love to manage. I'm a good cheerleader!!!

JOE RULES: Hey, nothing like a good cheerleader! As you know, G.L.O.R.Y.Con 2004 is coming up October 2 and 3 in Fairfield and West Paterson, New Jersey. Will we get to see Luscious Latasha there?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: I would love to be at the G.L.O.R.Y.Con, but some stuff has come up, so I will not be able to attend. If there is one next year, I will definitely be there!

JOE RULES: That's too bad. It's going to be a great convention! We'll look forward to seeing you there next time, though. But if you could wrestle any G.L.O.R.Y. Girl, who would it be and why?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Hmm, a G.L.O.R.Y. Girl...any girl in Canada, just for the trip! LOL

JOE RULES: lol, Have you been to Canada?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Nope! But I came soo close, like only 10 miles away!!! Ahhh!

JOE RULES: I'm sure you'll get there one of these days, lol. You have a very active Yahoo! Group, featuring updates and info on your wrestling career. Let your fans know how they can join.

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Well fans, all you have to do is go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lusciouslatasha and at the top of the page, you can click "Join This Group!" and see all kinds of pictures of me and what I'm up to, and also show dates!

JOE RULES: Any plans to put together a Luscious Latasha website?

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: Yes, definitely, but I need someone to be the webmaster, because I know how to make websites and whatnot, but if I'm doing mine, I will be too picky, and it will never been done! Anyone want to make me a website? LOL

JOE RULES: Hey, I'm sure there's someone out there who can make you one! Thanks very much for taking time out to do this interview, Latasha. Good luck in your wrestling career and in all you do.

LUSCIOUS LATASHA: No problem. Thank you for giving me your time to interview me. Thanks, Joe Rules, it was an honor!
