Joe Rules Chats With Eve E. Robinson

June 25, 2004: Joe Rules chats with G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Eve E. Robinson. They discuss Eve's training with the legendary Killer Kowalski, her recent tryout with OVW and her victorious battle over injuries that would have ended the career of most other wrestlers!

The tough Eve E. Robinson...

JOE RULES: You're known as Eve E. Robinson on G.L.O.R.Y., but you've since dropped the E. Robinson and are now known simply as Eve. Why the change?

EVE: Just trying to simplify, plus it makes me feel cooler ... like Madonna or Elvis.

JOE RULES: I see ... I understand the name comes from a character on Xena: Warrior Princess. Tell us about that.

EVE: Okay, as long as there's no copyright infringement or anything! I just love the show, and I figure the name Xena would be too blatant, so her daughter Eve would have to do.

JOE RULES: You've noted many times that Xena is your favorite show. What about that program attracted you to it?

EVE: Well, initially the girl-powered ass-kicking, leather-wearing stuff, but it's actually an awesome show. I'm sounding like a sci-fi geek now...

JOE RULES: Hey, I have no problems with sci-fi! But let's move on to your actual wrestling career. Killer Kowalski is a respected trainer and a true legend in professional wrestling. His school has produced such superstars as Chyna, Triple H, and A-Train. Tell us what it was like having the Killer for your trainer.

EVE: Ah, amazing! I had the best time. Killer is a great teacher with SO much knowledge to share, but he's also a very sweet and genuine person.

JOE RULES: Training must have been tough, considering you've really been through a lot over the years--quite a few injuries, as well as a bout with scoliosis, and three stomach surgeries. Tell us how that came about.

EVE: Oh, wow, that's a long story! You got the time, Joe? lol.

JOE RULES: Hey, I have all day if necessary!

EVE: Cool ... but I'll try to condense it. I had bulimia starting at age 13, developed a horrible case of acid reflux, tore a hole in my esophagus and had a hernia in my lower stomach. I got both fixed, returned to the ring, they opened up again, which equaled more surgery. The tests were worse than the surgeries, though. I was on the kiddie floor, and they treated me good.

JOE RULES: Wow. Many would have given up. You didn't. Why?

EVE: It's not in me. I wouldn't say it's something really brave or noble. I'm just very stubborn.

...and the sexy Eve E. Robinson!

JOE RULES: I think we're all glad you stuck with it. Now, you began your career as the manager of "The Graduate" Tim McNeany. How did that come about?

EVE: Purely by chance. I did my first gig at a benefit show, the "Graduate" showed up, and we started our manager/wrestler relationship soon after.

JOE RULES: Do you still work with him?

EVE: No, I haven't for a while.

JOE RULES: Are you still in contact with each other? Any chance of a reunion any time soon?

EVE: Haha, I have no idea. I bought myself a brand spankin' new pair of tights, so hopefully I''ll lose the skirt stigma! ... And yes, we talk a lot.

JOE RULES: I understand you team with Ms. Peters on a semi-regular basis. Do you plan to do more tag team wrestling, or do you prefer to concentrate on your singles career?

EVE: We have tagged, yes. Honestly, I'm not sure. Whatever comes along. Ms. Peters is cool though, I got her back!

JOE RULES: You recently had a tryout with OVW, the developmental territory for the WWE. What can you tell us about that?

EVE: I feel that things went well. Regardless of the outcome, it was a pretty awesome experience. When I left for Kentucky, it was the day after my grandfather's funeral, and I wasn't sure I had much left, but I think it fueled me even further.

JOE RULES: Are there any plans for you to return?

EVE: I still don't know. I would love to, absolutely. The people and the atmosphere are amazing. So, if asked back, I wouldn't have to think twice about going.... I'm just broke!

JOE RULES: I would certainly like to see you back there again ... Let's plug your website. Give us the URL and tell us about your cool webmaster. ; )

EVE: Haha, my webmaster Joe ROCKS, and the URL is Now let's get to the soul searching questions--I know you'd like to get some more dirt on me!

JOE RULES: LOL! Okay, what's your Zodiac sign and lucky number?

EVE: I'm a Capricorn and my number is 781.

JOE RULES: Do you have any shows coming up you'd like to tell us about?

EVE: Well, I plan on doing the yearly benefit show that Freight Train Dan runs. It's on the 26th; more info to follow.

JOE RULES: Is that the 26th of June?

EVE: Yes, sir.

JOE RULES: Be sure to keep us informed about the show. Eve, thank you for the interview. It's always a pleasure to talk to you. I know you ultimate goal is the WWE. With your dedication, I have no doubt that you will make it there.

EVE: Well thank you, I hope so, and it's always a pleasure!
