"A Summer Whirlwind Of Action For The G.L.O.R.Y. Champ!"
August 9, 2005

Ariel is back in Monterrey for her Summer 2005 Mexico tour.

Hey Guys!

How is everyone doing? Sorry, it has been a while as you all know. Last time I wrote in this thing I planned on doing a final entry with all the things that went on about my spring Mexico trip...but I ended up coming down to Mexico for another tour already! I had about 3 or 4 shows in the States while I was home and now I'm back in Monterrey with LLF.

So...I have been here for about 2 weeks and I haven't written anything. So I am sorry for that. But I wanted to keep you updated as much as possible, so what I did was write everything down so that I could just recap it when I got to a computer. So let me get to that...

Thursday, July 21st: I flew out of Springfield/Hartford International Airport at about 12:20pm or so. I had two layovers. One in North Carolina and one in Texas. I was guessing at least the Texas flight would be delayed due to the fact that Hurricane Emily was currently passing through Mexico. But surprisingly, it wasn't! When I got to Houston, I asked the representative and made sure everything would be ok. I then called my mom (who lives in Florida now by the way) and told her everything would be fine. My mom was super, super terrified of me flying that day because of the fact that in Florida, the front page of the paper was the hurricane damages in Mexico. Go figure. I assured her everything would be fine. After three flights, I was met at the airport by my friends who made arrangements with Luciano (the LLF promoter) to pick me up so that he wouldn't have to worry about me. That ruled. I became really close with these guys so it was just awesome to be able to see them as soon as I got here. When I was home for that month, I kept in touch with most of them and they are all very sweet kids who I am glad I became close friends with. They picked me up, and I guess the remains of the hurricane were still happening as the rain was coming down really hard. We went by the apartment where the girls stay so that I could drop off my stuff and then we then went out to eat to this super nice Italian restaurant. I have no clue what the name is or anything. All I know is, I didn't really like the food. I am the worst picky eater...ask anyone that knows me. They were super amused at watching me eat chicken because I would scrape off all the Italian sauce! But moving on...

Friday and Saturday: Well, Friday there was supposed to be an LLF show but it was cancelled due to the fact they expected the hurricane to mess with the weather...which sucked because of the fact that it was super sunny! BUT even though the show had already been cancelled, many fans still showed up. But at least I got to have two days off to relax. Jet lag got to me for the first time. It was soo bad. I couldn't believe it.

Ariel teamed with Shira in the first match after her return to Mexico.

Sunday, July 24th: We headed back to Torreon. Memo picked us up. (Memo is one of the LLF helper guys). We all headed to Torreon, MX and it was a long as heck drive. Good thing I brought my Spongebob pillow along for the ride! The ride sucked mainly because there was, well, FIVE of us in a tiny lil' car! I kept saying that my behind was broken the whole ride. I know it's big and it has cushion and all...but it didn't do it any good. I was in a whole lot of pain! We finally get there. The match was me and Shira vs. Tsunami and Felina. I liked this match as the crowd was really, really into it. The show seems like it's in the middle of nowhere...but then come show time all these HARDCORE wrestling fans show up! It's great! The crowd loved Shira (who was the hometown girl) and me. We were the technicas. All four of us put together a great match. I felt really good about my return to Mexico...even if it was 5 1/2 hours away from Arena Feminil! I also brought back a win with Shira after we won in the third fall.

Monday, July 25th to Thursday, July 28th: The next couple of days were spent hanging out with friends and running errands with Luciano. It seems like Luciano always has a million things going on and a million meetings to go to! So this week I spent pretty much meeting with people and trying to help Luciano get more publicity for LLF. I also went to a bunch of soccer games of my friend Alex. His nickname is Yegros...which I guess is a famous soccer player in Mexico. I must have gone to at least three games. On Tuesday we did go to a radio station to do publicity for the upcoming show where I would be tagging with Tsunami...my arch-rival in Mexico.

Friday, July 29th: Fridays...I always have to wake up early and go to the radio stations for interviews. There is one at 10:00am and another at 2:00pm. Sometimes there are more. Considering I am a night person and barely sleep...it sucked! I went to sleep at 5:30am and had to wake up at 9:00! Booo to that! Anyway, Tsunami and I went to the radio station and we both talked about how we would be tagging as a technicas even though she has always been a ruda. She had given me her word that she would watch my back if she was my partner...so we made a pact to just help each other out.

Polly Star and Chacala beat the heck out of Ariel while Tsunami, her partner for the night, refused to come to Ariel's aid.

The match was me and Tsunami vs. Polly Star and Chacala. Polly Star and Chacala both have an amazing fan following...which is weird because they are rule breakers and just all around rebels. But people love them! The match had an early start when I ran out to save Shira who got jumped by Polly. I came out to help out my fellow technica...but then I noticed Tsunami wasn't coming out to help! Then Chacala came out and it was 2 on 1...with ME being the ONE...and still no sign of Tsunami! Maybe after like five minutes or so of me getting my brains beaten in...then Tsunami came out taking her sweet time. Needless to say, that didn't make me very happy. Somehow we managed to work together and still pull out a win. But at the end of the match we both were not happy with the tag team. She claimed I didn't know what I wanted...whether I wanted an enemy or a friend. So I told her to forget the whole deal. You don't watch my back, so I don't watch your's...that's how it works. I was so worked up I was able to yell at her on the microphone in Spanish. That was interesting. (Everyone came up to me after and was asking: "I thought you don't speak Spanish?" I was like..."Well, I guess I do now!") Anyway, after we exchanged some powerful words, we started brawling. That was pretty much the end of that alliance! She doesn't seem to understand that if you are going to be a technica, you have to stick to that. You can't keep changing back and forth. That's not how it works! And her word means nothing. She gave me her word as a friend...but she went back on that. You get what's coming to you, you know? So now it looks like we're back to beating the heck out of each other all over Monterrey again...

Well...the Ariel/Tsunami alliance didn't last very long, did it?

Saturday, July 30th: I went to another one of Alex's games. Me, Orlando, Alex and Aguas all took a bus to go see the game. The way I see it...they come to my shows so I should I go to their stuff, too. Alex's team won. That ruled. They used Portugal's white uniform so I popped. I cheered for him in English. I have a tendency to do that. And I'm always like: "Well, you guys may not understand me. But still...GOOD JOB!".

Sunday, July 31st: Me, Orlando and Alex all headed to Parque Espaņa. This is like a big park thingy that has shows, crafts and SWIMMING!!! I sooooo had to go...lol. So I did! We all went. I wore my new pink, white and black bikini. It matched my hair, which I got dyed the Friday before. It ruled! I must stand out or something in Mexico. Maybe it's the way I speak English really fast or something, because a lot of the time people looked at me like I had seven heads. Maybe it was the pink hair! But either way, I had a blast. There is this dolphin show there currently...which I will be going to watch this upcoming week. My friends promised me we will go again. I bought this cool ring gimmick made out of thread. I was sooo excited! Good Stuff!

[ JTW NOTE: Helloooo...Earth to Ariel! Do you think maybe the way you looked in your new pink, white and black bikini might have had something to do with all those people paying attention to you?! ]

Monday, August 1st: We all went to watch Alex's soccer game. It was one of those semifinal thingies so he was hoping to do good...which he did. The only thing I don't like about these games is there are a ton of mosquitoes. I got eaten alive! Boo to that.

I also went to a meeting with Luciano and the guy from Coliseo. This is also the day I saw Antonio Peņa, who is the owner and booker of Triple A. (Triple A is like the NWA-TNA of Mexico...and C.M.L.L. being the WWE of Mexico).

Tuesday, August 2nd: Luciano picks me up around 10am and tells me: "Ariel, I have good news for you. You have a match today." I was like: "Okay? Really?" He then informs me that I would be making my return back to Coliseo Arena. I hadn't worked in Coliseo for months. The last time I worked there was my first time working in Mexico as Ariel...right after I lost my mask.

Ariel hits a Perfect-Plex on Tsunami. Is that Mr. Death looking on?

After I ran some errands with Luciano and got back to the apartment, I headed out to training. I currently train with Dralion, who is one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen and he's only freakin' 19 years old! Funny thing is, he would explain something then get behind me in line and re-explain everything to me since he knew, 1) I don't speak perfect spanish and, 2) I am currently learning mexican style. But, all in all, it was a very good training session. I loved it. I then informed them that I had to go because I had a match in less than two hours. They said "Thanks for coming!" and they wished to see me back there more often...which I am making a point to do.

That night's match was me vs. Tsunami...one on one. No one knew we would be working there as the girls match was not advertised. It was a very good match. The crowd was really into it! I came out to the Kumbia Kings song Dulce Nina...which means "Sweet Girl". It's become my theme-song down here. I'm the sweet girl who wrestles...lol...kind of like in the states. I also dance with fans here. That's the only difference it seems!

I beat Tsunami when I reversed her Michinoku Driver. I pinned her. I then challenged her for her LLF Juvenil Championship the upcoming week. I challenged her in spanish. I said: "I know my spanish is bad. But, I beat you tonight so I want to face you for your title!" The fans then chanted: "Que Digo?"...which means "WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?" Kind of like the Stone Cold thing. They were messin' with me! lol. So I was like, okay...fine. English?! No. Portuguese?! Then the fans agreed. So I made the challenge and the fans applauded me. I bowed like a lil' kid. I thought that was funny! So...the next week (August 9th)...I'd be facing Tsunami for the LLF Juvenil Title.

Wednesday, August 3rd: I got some much-needed rest. Didn't do much. Just relaxed. Ahhh...!

Thursday, August 4th: I was supposed to go to training this day but I got my hair braided and it went longer than I thought. Plus, I was still super sore. I thought it would be good to let my body rest since I had three more matches coming up.

Ariel teams with Mexican technica Aurora.

Thursday night we went to Lat Loft...a Hip Hop club that I love down here. They did some remodeling, but I saw some familiar faces. It ruled! I actually danced for the first time ever. I always refused to dance before...but a friend dragged me onto the floor. I had fun!

Friday, August 5th: The regular Friday LLF Show...which means the two radio stations. They went well. Everyone liked my hair. I had corn rows in the front and the loose braids in the back. Everyone said I had a Brazilian look!

The match was me and Lady Sensacion vs. Polly Star and Tsunami. Persephone was originally scheduled to be my partner but she couldn't make it down to Mexico (due to her work. I think)...so my partner was Lady Sensacion from Mexico City. The match went well, except that we lost. That sucked. But this feud with Tsunami keeps getting worse and worse. She just won't leave me alone. I already beat her fair and square more than once, but she won't let it go. She has this thing against American girls I think. I don't know what her problem is...

After the show, my friends and I all went to eat tacos at some local taco place which is open 24 hours. There was some napkin throwing...hey, I didn't start it! And then there was the hamburger that was way too big for me to eat so I ended up giving it away to my friend. lol.

Martha Villalobos, Polly Star and Ariel.

Saturday, August 6th: WWW--World Wrestling Women. They are pretty much like LLF, but with a different name because they use some girls that LLF doesn't use anymore. The show they thought was going to be really big...but they didn't do much advertising. They wanted to cancel the show due to low ticket sales...but some of the girls got together and went out to the streets to drum up some fans. And we did a pretty good job because by the end of the night, there were a bunch of loud kids who were awesome! Once the show actually got under way it ruled! Kid crowds are the best. I honestly love wrestling for kids. I always will.

The match was me and Aurora vs. Novia de Jason and Tsunami. We won in the third fall. They put some good shots to us...but in the end, the technicas prevailed. I loved this match because the kids were really into it. They cheered and danced along to our songs. It ruled! That's all I gotta say!

Sunday, August 7th: This was my debut with Triple A. I was sooo nervous. But once I got comfortable it was okay. I didn't know most of the girls I wrestled, but it was awesome!

The match was me, Martha Villalobos and Polly Star vs. Tsunami, Hechichera and Miss Janeth. This match was super fun. Martha is unreal. I had never seen her wrestle before. I heard many things but never saw her. So watching her, I was like a lil' kid! I was like: "WOW! She rules!!!" It was an honor to tag with her. She knew I was nervous too, so she did what she could to help me out. We won by DQ. I got announced as the "Dulce Nina" at Triple A. I thought that was pretty cute.

Monday, August 8th: I just wanna wish a Happy Anniversary to someone...you know who you are! I didn't do much today. I just ran some errands and then...here I am at the internet cafe!

Ariel clamps a side headlock on Tsunami. Will this feud go on forever?!

This entry has taken me about an hour and half to write so far. Well, there goes like, 20 pesos...lol. But that's okay. I like letting you all know what is happening with me down here. That was all the main stuff. Now here is some "randomness stuff" from this current trip...

*Randomness*

  • Kumbia Kings are coming to Bosque Magico on August 14th. I am sooo going. I have to meet them. I love them! I have their cd's and I come out to their song here in Mexico. I wanna take a picture with them! Awesome stuff...

  • I have watched tons of movies while being down here with my friends. The list includes: Signs, Scary Movie 1 and 2, Batman 1 and 2, Catwoman, Elektra, Fast And The Furious, Triple X, Alien vs. Predator, Star Wars Episode 1 and 2. And I have a feeling there might be more added to the list before I head home!

  • I saw a Lamborghini in Mexico! That was unreal!!!

  • I found out Nelly has his own shoe deal. I'm sooo excited. Also, someone just bought me a Nelly belly button ring! I canīt wait to put it on. Yayyy!

  • I am super homesick and am looking forward to being home in less than two weeks...then seeing my mom and family in less than three weeks. I will be visiting Florida to see them.

Okay, guys...this is all for now. I will write more later this week...I hope! If not, then I definitely will after this weekend. My upcoming schedule:

Tuesday (August 9th): Ariel vs. Tsunami for Juvenil Belt

Friday (August 12th): No Holds Barred Match! Ariel vs. Tsunami

Sunday (August 14th): Intergender Mixed Tag Match! Ariel, Turbina (who I think rules!), and Sky vs. Tsunami, Cowboy Jr. and ???

It looks like it will be a good week! All suggestions and/or comments are welcome. Please post them on the message board or email me. You can get my email off my site: ArielsWorld.com. I also post small updates on my livejournal...so if you can check that out too.

That's it for now. If you read this whole thing...I love you and thanks soooo much for reading!

Much love,
Ariel
